THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS TO PRESERVE AND PROMOTE THE HERITAGE AND HISTORY OF THE WORSHIPFUL COMPANY OF SKINNERS ('THE COMPANY') AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN ALL MATTERS RELATING TO THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF THE COMPANY THROUGH ANY OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS: - THE DISPLAY, PRESERVATION, REPAIR, MAINTENANCE AND ENHANCEMENT OF THE PAINTINGS, MANUSCRIPTS, HISTORICAL AND CONTEMPORARY RECORDS, SILVER AND OTHER CHATTELS, (COLLECTIVELY 'THE HERITAGE ASSETS') CONNECTED TO OR BELONGING TO THE COMPANY - THE ACQUISITION OF HERITAGE ASSETS (WHETHER FROM THE COMPANY OR PRIVATE OWNERS) CONNECTED TO THE COMPANY OR THE SKINNERS' HALL - THE ENCOURAGEMENT AND PROMOTION OF RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL USE OF THE HERITAGE ASSETS AND THE SKINNERS' HALL FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC - THE PROVISION OF PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE HERITAGE ASSETS AND THE SKINNERS' HALL BOTH DIGITALLY AND PHYSICALLY - THE PROVISION OF PUBLIC LECTURES AND SEMINARS ON THE HISTORY (AND CONTEMPORARY IMPACT) OF THE COMPANY AND THE HERITAGE ASSETS.
