THE OBJECT[S] OF THE CIO [IS][ARE] (1) THE RELIEF OF PEOPLE WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY, LIVING IN SWINDON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND PRACTICAL ADVICE FOR THEM AND FOR THEIR FAMILIES, DEPENDANTS AND CARERS. (2) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ALL AREAS RELATING TO LEARNING DISABILITIES. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE, ‘LEARNING DISABILITIES’ MEANS PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND OR SENSORY IMPAIRMENT.
