Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF PEOPLE LIVING OR WORKING IN GREATER LONDON BY PROVIDING WORKSHOPS AND FACILITIES FOR SAMBA MUSIC, IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PURPOSE OR PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE CIO IS BEING ESTABLISHED.
