THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN AND APPRECIATION OF THE ARTS, CULTURE AND HERITAGE OF INDIA, IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DETERMINE, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF AN ANNUAL FESTIVAL TO BE HELD IN MILTON KEYNES. 2) THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: (A) PROMOTING ACTIVITIES TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT RACIAL AND CULTURAL BACKGROUNDS; (B) CULTIVATING A SENTIMENT IN FAVOUR OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY.
