3.1 THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY AND THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION OF THOSE WITHIN THE LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY (THE COMMUNITY) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: 3.1.1 THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF GENDER AND SEXUAL ORIENTATION; 3.1.2 ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS IN EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY; 3.1.3 PROMOTING ACTIVITIES TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS; 3.1.4 CULTIVATING A SENTIMENT IN FAVOUR OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY; 3.1.5 PROVIDING COMMUNITY SUPPORT THROUGH THE SHARING OF INFORMATION, KNOWLEDGE, RESOURCES AND EXPERIENCE TO EMPOWER AND IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE; AND 3.1.6 PROVIDING ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE SERVICES TO MEET PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS. 3.2 TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF OTHER CHARITIES WORKING WITH THE LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY, BY SIGNPOSTING MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY AND EDUCATORS, HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS, FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO THEIR ACTIVITIES AND RESOURCES AND BY FUNDING THEIR PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES. LGBTQIA+ MEANS LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER, QUEER, INTERSEX AND ASEXUAL. THE ADDITIONAL “+” STANDS FOR ALL OF THE OTHER IDENTITIES NOT ENCOMPASSED IN THE SHORT ACRONYM.
