The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people aged eight to 18 years from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years.

THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ('OBJECTS') ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO ADVANCE HEALTH AND WELLBEING FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY COLLECTING AND PROVIDING DATA (ACCESSIBLE THROUGH A SECURE ENVIRONMENT) AND ENABLING HIGH QUALITY CHARITABLE RESEARCH (INCLUDING THE PUBLICATION OF THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH) TO SUPPORT UNDERSTANDING OF THE FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE HEALTH AND WELLBEING IN CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS AND HOW HEALTH AND WELLBEING IN CHILDHOOD AND EARLY ADULTHOOD INFLUENCES LATER LIFE OUTCOMES; AND TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF POLICIES AND INTERVENTIONS TO IMPROVE OUTCOMES ACROSS THE LIFE COURSE.
