THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC: THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TENETS OF THE KNANAYA COMMUNITY (MALANKARA JACOBITE SYRIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH TRADITION) IN BRISTOL AND SURROUNDING AREAS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: * THE PROVISION OF PUBLIC WORSHIP SERVICES, RELIGIOUS CEREMONIES, RITUALS AND CELEBRATIONS, AND THE PREACHING AND TEACHING OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES; * THE PROVISION OF INTELLECTUAL, SPIRITUAL, AND MORAL EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE; * THE ENCOURAGEMENT AND SUPPORT OF PASTORAL WORK FOR THE: - CONGREGATION IN A WAY THAT CONSIDERS THEIR PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPIRITUAL WELLBEING; AND - WIDER COMMUNITY AS A PRACTICAL EXPRESSION OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH, SUCH AS PRACTICAL SUPPORT FOR THOSE IN NEED.
