THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN SOUTH DEVON, ARE: 1) TO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS ANIMALS BY PROVIDING APPROPRIATE CARE, PROTECTION, TREATMENT AND SECURITY FOR ANIMALS WHICH ARE IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION BY REASON OF SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USAGE, REHOMING SUCH ANIMALS WHERE POSSIBLE; 2) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY BY THE PROVISION OF PET FOOD, OTHER ESSENTIAL PET ITEMS AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT WITH BOARDING OF ANIMALS TO PET OWNERS IN FINANCIAL NEED.
