Crisis Intervention and Trauma Support NW London has been set up to support individuals and families as well as the broader Jewish community, in the event of traumatic events. This focuses on empowering them, interventions and providing age appropriate advice, information and guidance for adults and children. It also includes sensitive support around notification of deaths and psycho-education.

THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD MENTAL HEALTH AND THE RELIEF OF NEED, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO MEMBERS OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY EXPERIENCING OR AT RISK OF POOR MENTAL HEALTH AS A RESULT OF CRISIS OR TRAUMA, BY: (A) PROVIDING SUPPORT AND WORKING TO ACCESS OTHER SUPPORT AGENCIES; (B) RAISING AWARENESS AMONG THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE ISSUES AFFECTING THOSE PEOPLE, AND EARLY WARNING SIGNS COMMONLY ASSOCIATED WITH THE ABOVE ISSUES; AND (C) PROVIDING EDUCATION TO CLINICIANS AND TRAINED VOLUNTEERS TO ENABLE THEM TO PROVIDE GREATER SUPPORT AND CARE.
