THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY (‘THE OBJECTS’) ARE TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE GOOD HEALTH OF PERSONS WITH WITH METASTATIC PROSTATE CANCER (MPC) AND THE PARTNERS, FAMILIES, FRIENDS AND CARERS OF PERSONS WITH MPC BY:- ·OFFERING CONFIDENTIAL SUPPORT AND INFORMATION, TOGETHER WITH REGULAR MEETINGS, OPEN TO ALL WITHIN THE MAIDSTONE AND TUNBRIDGE WELLS (MTW) HOSPITAL TRUST; ·ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN ISSUES RELATING TO MPC; ·HEIGHTEN PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE VALUE OF A PSA BLOOD TEST AS AN INDICATION OF POSSIBLE PROSTATE CANCER; ·PURCHASING EQUIPMENT REQUESTED BY THE MTW PROSTATE CANCER UNIT TO IMPROVE AND SUPPORT THE TREATMENT OF THOSE WITH MPC; ·PRODUCING EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION TO OFFER A BETTER UNDERSTANDING FOR THOSE SUFFERING FROM MPC, TOGETHER WITH THEIR FAMILIES, FRIENDS, CARERS AND THE WIDER PUBLIC; [NOTHING IN THIS DEED SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND/OR SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.].
