3. OBJECTS 3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OF CHILDREN PRIMARILY UNDER STATUTORY SCHOOL AGE BY ENCOURAGING PARENTS TO UNDERSTAND AND PROVIDE FOR THE NEEDS OF THEIR CHILDREN THROUGH COMMUNITY GROUPS. 3.2 NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008. 3.3 THE CIO WORKS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT HAVING AS PART OF ITS OBJECTS THE DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN PARTICULAR BY: (A) PROMOTING THEIR CARE AND SAFETY; (B) PROMOTING THEIR EDUCATION AND PROMOTING PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT; (C) PROMOTING THEIR HEALTH AND WELLBEING; (D) PROVIDING SERVICES TO SUPPORT THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS; (E) PROVIDING SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS HOLDING MEMBERSHIP OF THE CIO; AND (F) FURTHERING THE AIMS OF THE PRE-SCHOOL LEARNING ALLIANCE.
