Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG GIRLS IN THE HORN OF AFRICA AND OTHER REGIONS IN NEED BY:- - IMPROVING SANITARY CONDITIONS: ENSURING ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER, AND PROVIDING MONTHLY FOOD SUPPLIES TO FAMILIES, THEREBY ENABLING THE GIRLS TO ATTEND SCHOOL AND EVENTUALLY ENTER THE WORKFORCE. - DIRECT SUPPORT: PROVIDING DIRECT ASSISTANCE TO YOUNG GIRLS FACING CHALLENGES RELATED TO MENSTRUATION, SUCH AS SUPPLYING MENSTRUAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS. - INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT: BUILDING AND IMPROVING TOILET FACILITIES IN SCHOOLS TO CREATE BETTER SANITARY CONDITIONS, THEREBY PROMOTING GIRLS' ATTENDANCE AND RETENTION IN EDUCATION. - COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: ENGAGING WITH COMMUNITIES TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF GIRLS' EDUCATION AND MENSTRUAL HYGIENE, FOSTERING A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR GIRLS' EDUCATION. - FOOD ASSISTANCE: DELIVERING MONTHLY FOOD BASKETS TO FAMILIES WHERE MENSTRUATION POSES A BARRIER TO GIRLS' EDUCATION, ENSURING THAT GIRLS DO NOT HAVE TO FORGO SCHOOLING DUE TO FINANCIAL CONSTRAINTS. - WATER ACCESS PROJECTS: CONSTRUCTING WELLS TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER, REDUCING THE TIME GIRLS SPEND FETCHING WATER DAILY FOR THEIR FAMILIES AND ENABLING THEM TO FOCUS ON THEIR EDUCATION. THIS INTEGRATED APPROACH ADDRESSES VARIOUS CHALLENGES FACED BY YOUNG GIRLS, ENSURING THAT THEY CAN ACCESS EDUCATION AND EMPOWERING THEM TO BUILD A BETTER FUTURE FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR COMMUNITIES. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
