Activities - how the charity spends its money
Following the Rule of St. Benedict, the nuns provide the ancient liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church to the public at St. Mary's Abbey at Little Haywood in Staffordshire, that is, Mass and the Divine Office with Gregorian chant. They provide hospitality to visitors, and assist young women in discerning their vocation.

Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE THE ROMAN CATHOLIC RELIGION IN THE SPIRIT OF THE RULE OF ST BENEDICT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY:- 1. PROVIDING THE LITURGY OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH TO THE PUBLIC AT ST MARY’S ABBEY COLWICH, THAT IS, MASS AND THE DIVINE OFFICE WITH GREGORIAN CHANT, TOGETHER WITH PROVIDING HOSPITALITY TO VISITORS TO THE ABBEY; 2. OCCASIONAL LECTURES, RELIGIOUS RETREATS AND CLASSES, ESPECIALLY VOCATIONAL TALKS AND GUIDANCE FOR WOMEN AND LESSONS IN ECCLESIASTICAL CHURCHWORK; AND 3. FUTURE EXPANSION IS ANTICIPATED TO INCLUDE SYMPOSIA ON GREGORIAN CHANT AND SACRED MUSIC. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
