THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PRESERVE THE HEALTH OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM CSF LEAKS AND RELATED DISORDERS BY MEANS OF: • PROVIDING PRACTICAL ADVICE AND SUPPORT; • PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION TO IMPROVE THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE PUBLIC (PARTICULARLY MEMBERS OF THE MEDICAL PROFESSION) REGARDING THE NEEDS OF SUFFERERS AND ALL MATTERS RELATING TO CSF LEAKS IN ORDER TO IMPROVE MEDICAL SERVICES; • PROMOTING AND SUPPORTING RESEARCH INTO THE CAUSES, EFFECTS, DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF CSF LEAKS AND DISSEMINATING THE USEFUL RESULTS THEREOF.
