THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORT IN THE WEST YORKSHIRE AREA THROUGH THE PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION OF HISTORIC TRANSPORT ARTEFACTS, LARGELY RELATING TO, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY CONFINED TO THAT AREA WITH A VIEW TO ESTABLISHING AN UNDERCOVER DISPLAY OF SAID ARTEFACTS IN THE SAID AREA TO ALLOW PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE WEALTH OF MATERIAL AND OBJECTS AVAILABLE TO THE TRUST
