Charitable objects
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CHARITY ARE THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE DIAGNOSED WITH SEVERE TREATMENT RESISTANT EPILEPSY AND THEIR PARENTS, SIBLINGS AND THE WIDER FAMILY, BY: A. PROVIDING GRANTS OR BURSARIES SUPPORT FOR SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT WHICH AID PHYSICAL, COMMUNICATION AND COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT TO FAMILIES OF CHILDREN DIAGNOSED WITH A TREATMENT RESISTANT FORM OF EPILEPSY WHO ARE IN RECEIPT OF AND FUND FROM PERSONAL INCOME A PRIVATE PRESCRIPTION FOR CANNABIS BASED PRODUCT FOR MEDICINAL USE (CBPMS) BY A NAMED SPECIALIST CLINICIAN ON THE SPECIALIST REGISTER OF THE GENERAL MEDICAL COUNCIL AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH UK GOVERNMENT LEGISLATION, NHS AND NICE GUIDELINES. B. RAISING AWARENESS AND ADVANCING EDUCATION AMONGST THE WIDER PUBLIC, MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AND RELEVANT PUBLIC BODIES ON THE CONDITION OF SEVERE TREATMENT RESISTENT EPILEPSY, THE EFFECTS OF THE CONDITION ON CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, THE ADVANCED TREATMENTS OF THIS CONDITION AND THE BENEFITS OF PRESCRIPTION CBPMS IN THE TREATMENT OF SEVERE TREATMENT RESISTANT EPILEPSY. C. THE PROMOTION OF RESEARCH AND CLINICAL TRIALS INTO SEVERE TREATMENT RESISTENT EPILEPSY, THE BENEFITS OF CBPMS AND TREATMENT FOR CHILDHOOD TREATMENT RESISTANT EPILEPSY AND THE PUBLICATION OF THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH. D: ADVANCING THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT AND INFORMATION SERVICES TO CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM SEVERE TREATMENT RESISTENT EPILEPSY AND THEIR FAMILIES.
