Charitable objects
3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE EDUCATION AT THE SCHOOL AND PRESERVE THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND CHARACTER AND ETHOS OF THE SCHOOL IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING BY BY: 3.1.1 PROVIDING FINANCIAL OR OTHER CHARITABLE SUPPORT TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS AND FORMER PUPILS OF THE SCHOOL ON SUCH TERMS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES MAY DETERMINE FROM TIME TO TIME, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE GRANTING OF AWARDS, BURSARIES, SCHOLARSHIP AND PRIZES TO SUPPORT THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS AT THE SCHOOL OR SUCH OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT THAT THE CHARITY TRUSTEES MAY DETERMINE; AND 3.1.2 PROVIDING, MAINTAINING AND FUNDING FOR THE SCHOOL, PREMISES, EQUIPMENT OR FACILITIES OF ANY KIND FOR THE PROMOTION OF THE EDUCATION (INCLUDING THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION) AND ENRICHING THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE OF PUPILS AT THE SCHOOL. 3.2 "THE SCHOOL" SHALL MEAN ARCHBISHOP HOLGATE'S SCHOOL, A CHURCH OF ENGLAND ACADEMY OF HULL ROAD, YORK OR ANY SUCCESSOR SCHOOL.
