THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH AND THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AMONG WOMEN AND GIRLS, PARTICULARLY IN AFRICA BY: 3.1 SUPPORTING PROFESSIONAL PRACTICES, RESEARCH, AND EDUCATION IN OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY IN ORDER TO IMPROVE HEALTHCARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. 3.2 ENHANCING THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CAPABILITIES OF HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS SPECIALIZING IN OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY ACROSS AFRICA THROUGH TRAINING PROGRAMS, WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS, AND CONFERENCES THAT DISSEMINATE VALUABLE MEDICAL INFORMATION AND IMPROVE STANDARDS OF OBSTETRIC AND GYNAECOLOGICAL CARE. 3.3 SUPPORTING INITIATIVES AIMED AT REDUCING MATERNAL AND NEWBORN MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY RATES IN AFRICA BY COLLABORATING WITH NATIONAL MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS AND OTHER HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS TO IMPLEMENT EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES AND INNOVATIONS IN THE FIELD OF MATERNAL HEALTH. 3.4 WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH INTERNATIONAL BODIES SUCH AS THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF GYNAECOLOGY AND OBSTETRICS (FIGO) AND OTHER REGIONAL FEDERATIONS TO ALIGN EFFORTS, SHARE BEST PRACTICES, AND MOBILISE RESOURCES FOR IMPROVING GYNAECOLOGICAL AND OBSTETRICAL CARE ON A GLOBAL SCALE.
