THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT IN KINGSTON UPON THAMES AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, ARE: 1) THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THROUGH THE PROMOTION OF RE-USE AND RECYCLING AS A MEANS OF WASTE DISPOSAL. 2) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY MAKING DONATIONS OF RECYCLED CLOTHING AND OTHER ITEMS MANUFACTURED USING RECYCLED MATERIALS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HOME INSULATION, DUVETS, BLANKETS AND CARPET UNDERLAY, TO INDIVIDUALS IN FINANCIAL NEED AND CHARITIES AND NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATIONS ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT THEM.
