Charitable objects
(1) THE RELIEF OF PERSONS WHO ARE IN POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP WHO ARE RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT, WITH A PREFERENCE FOR SUCH PERSONS WHO ARE AGED 55 AND ABOVE AND ARE RESIDENTS OF OR REGISTERED AS LIVING IN THE PARISH OF BISHOP'S TAWTON, NORTH DEVON, BY THE PROVISION OF HOUSING; (2) SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS IN THE ACCOMMODATION PROVIDED BY THE CIO OR A SUFFICIENT SECTION OF THEM IN SUCH MANNER AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT ; (3) TO PAY THE COSTS OF REPAIRING AND MAINTAINING THE FOLLOWING MEMORIALS IN THE PARISH CHURCH OF BISHOP'S TAWTON: (A) A TABLET ON THE NORTH WALL OF THE SAID CHURCH IN MEMORY OF WILLIAM HENRY LAW; (B) A TABLET ON THE SAID WALL IN MEMORY OF THOMAS SHEPHARD LAW; (C) A TABLET ON THE SAID WALL IN MEMORY OF MARY JANE LAW; (D) A STAINED GLASS WINDOW IN THE WEST WALL OF THE NORTH AISLE OF THE SAID CHURCH PROVIDED BY THE SAID MARY JANE LAW.
