Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: UNEMPLOYMENT; FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC POSITION, ILL HEALTH (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL); DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF SEX, RACE, DISABILITY, ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION; POOR EDUCATIONAL OR SKILLS ATTAINMENT. IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE PURPOSES, THE ORGANISATION WILL CARRY OUT, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES: 1. PROVIDING LOCAL NETWORK GROUPS THAT ENCOURAGE AND ENABLE MEMBERS OF THE EXCLUDED GROUPS TO PARTICIPATE MORE EFFECTIVELY WITH THE WIDER COMMUNITY; PROVIDING ASSISTANCE OF A CAPACITY BUILDING NATURE TO HELP BUILD SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES WHICH INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES WOULD NOT OTHERWISE HAVE, AND WHICH WILL ENABLE THEM TO ENGAGE AND PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY; 2. PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL AND AWARENESS ACTIVITIES AND INITIATIVES TO ENCOURAGE SERVICE PROVIDERS AND LOCAL ORGANISATIONS TO ADAPT THEIR SERVICES TO MEET THEIR NEEDS AND TO ENCOURAGE THE PUBLIC TO GENERALLY BE MORE ACCEPTING OF AND ENGAGE WITH PARTICULAR COMMUNITIES THAT FEEL EXCLUDED; 3. INCREASING AND COORDINATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARTICULAR COMMUNITIES TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY TO ENCOURAGE GREATER RACIAL HARMONY AND TOLERANCE OF DIFFERENCE. 4. PROVIDING DEMENTIA FRIENDLY SESSIONS WITH CONVERSATION, MUSIC, ARTS AND CRAFTS, MOVEMENT AND INFORMATION.
