TO ADVANCE BUDDHISM IN THE UK FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES, PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS; PRODUCING AND DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON BUDDHISM TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT BUDDHISM. FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION (INCLUDING SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL TRAINING) OF PEOPLE WHO ARE BUDDHISTS AND HAVE A GOOD UNDERSTANDING ON BUDDHIST DOCTRINE IN THE UK IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES THINK FIT, INCLUDING BY AWARDING TO SUCH PERSONS SCHOLARSHIPS, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS TENABLE AT ANY UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OR INSTITUTION OF HIGHER OR FURTHER EDUCATION.
