THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF HEALTH OF PEOPLE WITH FORMS OF BRAIN AND OTHER HARD TO TREAT CANCERS, PARTICULARLY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY (A) PROVIDING FUNDING TO CHARITIES AND ORGANISATIONS INVOLVED IN THE IMPROVEMENT OF CANCER CARE, PATIENT SUPPORT SERVICES AND TREATMENT WITHIN NHS HOSPITALS (B) PROVIDING FUNDING AND PROMOTING RESEARCH INTO THE NATURE, CAUSES, DIAGNOSIS, PREVENTION, TREATMENT AND CURE OF BRAIN CANCER AND OTHER HARD TO TREAT CANCERS (C) ASSISTING HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY CANCER TO ACCESS RESOURCES THAT CONTRIBUTE TO BETTER CARE AND WELLBEING 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN BY A) PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND PRACTICAL RESOURCES TO ORGANISATIONS AND CHARITIES WORKING IN EARLY YEARS EDUCATION AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT B) ENCOURAGING COLLABORATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS, EDUCATORS, HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS, COMMUNITY GROUPS AND FAMILIES TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AND REDUCE INEQUALITIES IN EARLY YEARS OUTCOMES 3) TO ADVANCE SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES (ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES) AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME.
