Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO (OBJECTS) ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: 3.1 TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION AMONGST PEOPLE WITHIN THE TYNE & WEAR AREA (AREA OF BENEFIT) WHO ARE BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY AS A RESULT OF ILL HEALTH (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL), SUBSTANCE MISUSE OR DEPENDENCY INCLUDING ALCOHOL AND DRUGS, OR POOR EDUCATIONAL OR SKILLS ATTAINMENT BY THE PROVISION OF A COMMUNITY RESOURCE TO INCLUDE SUPPORT, EDUCATION, INFORMATION TRAINING AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES; 3.2 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, ECOLOGY, ARCHITECTURE, CONSERVATION TRADITIONAL SKILLS AND CRAFTMANSHIP, LOCAL ARTISTIC TRADITIONS, AND OTHER RELATED SKILLS AND SUCH OTHER AREAS AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE, IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT; 3.3 TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION, DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF PATH HEAD WATERMILL AND SURROUNDING SITE AND TO ENCOURAGE AND PROMOTE THE HERITAGE AND HISTORY OF THE SITE; AND 3.4 TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND THE SURROUNDING AREA THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
