Charitable objects

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CIO ARE TO RELIEVE THE NEED OF THOSE WITH A DISABILITY BY PROVIDING INFORMATION AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO DISABLED PEOPLE TO REDUCE BARRIERS TO INCLUSION IN SPORT AND THE ARTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MAKING IT POSSIBLE TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT, HIRE SPACES FOR PRACTICE, ENTER COMPETITIONS, ADDITIONAL TRAINING AND SUPPORT WITH ACCOMMODATION AND LIVING COSTS VIA GRANT APPLICATIONS. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
