Charitable objects
(1) THE RELIEF OF NEED THROUGH THE PROVISION OR MANAGEMENT OF ACCOMMODATION, ASSOCIATED FACILITIES, AMENITIES AND CARE TO THOSE IN NEED IN ENGLAND, PRIMARILY IN THE MIDLANDS, YORKSHIRE AND HUMBER REGIONS, FOR REASONS OF YOUTH, AGE, PHYSICAL OR MENTAL ILL-HEALTH OR DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE. (2) THE ADVANCEMENT, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN AREAS OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEPRIVATION IN ENGLAND, PRIMARILY IN THE MIDLANDS, YORKSHIRE AND HUMBER REGIONS, BY ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS: (A) THE PROMOTION OF URBAN OR RURAL REGENERATION THROUGH THE: I. PROVISION OF FINANCIAL AND OTHER ASSISTANCE TO PEOPLE IN CASES OF POVERTY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER CHARITABLE NEED, II. PROVISION OF ADVICE, GUIDANCE, AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO ORGANISATIONS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF PERSONS WHO ARE UNEMPLOYED OR WHO ARE IN INSECURE OR TRANSITIONAL EMPLOYMENT AND AT RISK OF BEING SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DEPRIVED, III. PROVISION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND RETRAINING OPPORTUNITIES ESPECIALLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF PERSONS WHO ARE UNEMPLOYED AND/OR NOT CURRENTLY IN EDUCATION OR TRAINING OR WHO ARE IN INSECURE OR TRANSITIONAL EMPLOYMENT AND AT RISK OF BEING SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DEPRIVED, IV. PROVISION OR ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE AND/ OR THOSE WHO, BY REASONS OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES, HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES;, V. PROMOTION OF VOLUNTEERING; AND (B) SUCH OTHER MEANS AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE DETERMINED SUBJECT TO THE PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE COMMISSIONERS FOR ENGLAND AND WALES. (3) FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE, OTHER DISADVANTAGE INCLUDES PERSONS AFFECTED BY SUBSTANCE MISUSE, CUSTODIAL SENTENCES, SERVICE IN THE ARMED FORCES WHERE THAT SERVICE HAS AFFECTED THEIR TRANSITION BACK INTO SOCIETY, FORCED DISPLACEMENT (INCLUDING REFUGEES) AND OTHER SUCH ACCEPTED CHARITABLE NEEDS AS THE TRUSTEES WISH TO ADDRESS.
