THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO ADVANCE THE CONSERVATION OF ENDANGERED WILDLIFE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN THE UK AND SUCH PARTS OF THE WORLD AS THE TRUSTEES MAY TIME TO TIME DETERMINE, IN PARTICULAR CORNCRAKES AND CURLEWS, AND SUCH OTHER ENDANGERED SPECIES AND THEIR HABITATS, THROUGH HABITAT MANAGEMENT AND RESTORATION, WITH A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON: • UNDERTAKING CONSERVATION AND REINTRODUCTION PROGRAMMES OF DECLINING SPECIES; • WIDENING AWARENESS OF CONSERVATION ISSUES AND TECHNIQUES AMONG CONSERVATION PROFESSIONALS AND THE PUBLIC; • PROMOTING AND FACILITATING RELEVANT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH, THE USEFUL RESULTS OF WHICH WILL BE PUBLISHED AND • THE TRAINING OF CONSERVATION PROFESSIONALS OPERATING MAINLY IN THE UK, BUT ALSO INTERNATIONALLY.
