THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) THROUGH THE PROMOTION OF THE STUDY OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHS (“STEM”) AND INCREASING THE EDUCATION AND AWARENESS OF THE PUBLIC CONCERNING THE STUDY AND PRACTICE OF STEM WITH A PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVE FOCUS ON THE NEEDS, CONCERNS AND INTERESTS OF THOSE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED BY REASON OF POOR EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT AND/OR OF THOSE WHO BELONG TO BLACK AND ETHNIC MINORITY COMMUNITIES IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.
