Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: 1) TO CONSERVE, PROMOTE AND ENHANCE WIMBLEDON PARK FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AS A PLACE OF RECREATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE FOR ALL SECTIONS OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY BY: A) CONSULTING WITH AND GATHERING INPUT FROM LOCAL RESIDENTS AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUPS SO THAT THE PARK MAY BEST SERVE THE LOCAL COMMUNITY; B) ENCOURAGING THE RECREATIONAL USE OF THE PARK BY DEVELOPING AND SUPPORTING COMMUNITY EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES; C) ENCOURAGING GREATER USE AND COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP OF THE PARK BY WORKING WITH ALL USERS OF THE PARK WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF RACE, GENDER, AGE OR ABILITY; D) PROMOTING EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS RELATING TO HORTICULTURE AND BIODIVERSITY IN AND AROUND THE PARK; AND E) ENCOURAGING AND SUPPORTING LOCAL RESIDENTS AND PARK USERS TO PARTICIPATE IN VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PARK AND ITS USERS.
