Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND INCLUSION OF DISABLED PEOPLE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF DISABLED PEOPLE IN THE UK BY PREVENTING OR RELIEVING LONELINESS AND ISOLATION. THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR SOCIAL INTERACTION, FOSTERING A SENSE OF COMMUNITY, AND PROMOTING SOCIAL INCLUSION. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN ALL MATTERS RELATING TO DISABILITY IN THE UK. THIS INCLUDES PROVIDING INFORMATION AND RESOURCES ON A RANGE OF TOPICS RELEVANT TO THE LIVES OF DISABLED PEOPLE, SUCH AS NEWS, ENTERTAINMENT, LIFESTYLE, BENEFITS, TECHNOLOGY, AND ACCESS. IT ALSO ENCOMPASSES RAISING AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF DISABILITY ISSUES AMONG THE GENERAL PUBLIC. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE UK ABOUT THE RIGHTS AND ENTITLEMENTS OF DISABLED PEOPLE. THIS INCLUDES PROVIDING INFORMATION AND RESOURCES ON DISABILITY LEGISLATION, PROMOTING AWARENESS OF DISABILITY RIGHTS, AND EMPOWERING DISABLED PEOPLE TO ADVOCATE FOR THEMSELVES.
