THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. TO RELIEVE THE SICKNESS AND SUFFERING OF THOSE AFFECTED BY CHILDHOOD CANCER, ILLNESS OR GRIEF WITHIN ENGLAND, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF BOOKS AND SMALL GIFTS. 2. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND PROMOTE LITERACY, BY DISTRIBUTING CHILDREN’S BOOKS TO SCHOOLS, ORGANISING EDUCATIONAL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES, THE PROVISION OF BOOK SWAP SPACES AND FACILITATING LEAVING BOOKS FOR OTHERS TO DISCOVER.
