THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN KENT, ARE: 1) TO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS DOGS BY PROVIDING APPROPRIATE CARE, PROTECTION, TREATMENT, AND SECURITY FOR DOGS WHICH ARE IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION BY REASON OF SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USAGE, REHOMING THEM WHERE POSSIBLE, AND PROVIDING EDUCATION TO THE PUBLIC IN THE CARE AND WELFARE OF DOGS AND RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP. 2) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY BY THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT WITH BOARDING TO OWNERS OF DOMESTIC ANIMALS WHO ARE TEMPORARILY UNABLE TO CARE FOR THEIR ANIMALS DUE TO CRISIS OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP.
