Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, ARE: 1. THE PROMOTION OF GOOD CITIZENSHIP AND THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ARMED FORCES BY THE INSTALLATION OF COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUES AND THE MAINTENANCE OF A DEDICATED VETERANS TRAIL IN TELFORD TOWN PARK DESIGNED TO PROMOTE RECOGNITION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONTRIBUTIONS MADE BY VETERANS AND SERVING MEMBERS OF HIS MAJESTY’S ARMED FORCES, TO ADVANCE PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR SERVICE AND SACRIFICES, TO PRESERVE AND HONOUR THEIR LEGACIES AND CREATE A LASTING MEMORIAL FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. 2. TO RELIEVE THE CHARITABLE NEEDS OF VETERANS RESIDENT IN TELFORD AND SHROPSHIRE BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CHARITIES AND NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATIONS ESTABLISHED TO ASSIST VETERANS.
