The Stop Mental Illness Foundation promotes mental health awareness and provides culturally sensitive support for BME communities across England. We develop targeted programs, advocate for training in cultural competence, conduct research on disparities, and foster community partnerships to improve access, reduce stigma, and ensure equitable mental health services for all.

TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF PEOPLE LIVING IN ENGLAND, BY: A) PROVIDING INFORMATION, ADVICE, SUPPORT, AND SIGNPOSTING TO PROMOTE POSITIVE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING ACROSS ALL STAGES OF LIFE, DELIVERED THROUGH TRAINING, SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS, OUTREACH PROJECTS, AND ONLINE RESOURCES; B) RAISING AWARENESS OF THE FACTORS THAT NEGATIVELY IMPACT MENTAL HEALTH AND CAMPAIGNING TO REDUCE STIGMA AND DISCRIMINATION ASSOCIATED WITH MENTAL ILL HEALTH; C) OFFERING SPECIALIST MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT, INCLUDING THERAPEUTIC SERVICES, COUNSELLING, AND GUIDED REFERRALS TO ACCREDITED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS AND PARTNER ORGANISATIONS; D) PROMOTING THE INCLUSION AND REPRESENTATION OF INDIVIDUALS WITH MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS AND ASSOCIATED DISABILITIES BY WORKING COLLABORATIVELY WITH OTHER CHARITIES, COMMUNITY GROUPS, AND PUBLIC SECTOR BODIES.
