TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF THOSE WHO HAVE UNDERGONE OSTOMY SURGERY (OSTOMATES) AND RELIEVE THEIR NEEDS IN SOUTHERN AFRICA, PRIMARILY THROUGH: A) ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF ESSENTIAL MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND PRODUCTS THAT THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD; B) ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF STOMA NURSE EDUCATION PROGRAMMES TO ENHANCE PROVISION AND SUPPORT IMPROVEMENTS TO OSTOMY CARE; C) RAISING AWARENESS WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ALL AREAS OF STOMA CARE TO ENCOURAGE UNDERSTANDING; D) SUCH OTHER WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DETERMINE.
