THE OBJECT[S] OF THE CIO [IS][ARE]: 1) TO PROMOTE THE CONSERVATION OF ENDANGERED RED SQUIRREL (SCIRIUS VULGARIS) POPULATIONS IN THEIR NATURAL HABITAT IN THE CATCHMENT AREA OF THE LOWER COQUET VALLEY AND SURROUNDING DISTRICTS. (2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF THE RED SQUIRREL, THE THREATS IT FACES AND THE NEED FOR CONSERVATION ACTIVITY TO ENSURE ITS SURVIVAL IN THE CATCHMENT AREA OF THE LOWER COQUET VALLEY AND SURROUNDING DISTRICTS.
