THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: (A) THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY, IN PARTICULAR BY SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS TO UNCOVER AND ADDRESS THE ROOT CAUSES OF RACIAL INEQUALITY AND TO ENGAGE COMMUNITIES IN STRATEGIC, LONG-TERM COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS TO DEVELOP EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT RACIAL GROUPS; (B) THE PROMOTION OF RACIAL HARMONY, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH BUILDING AN ENDURING TRANSNATIONAL NETWORK OF INDIVIDUALS ACROSS DIFFERENT SECTORS AND GEOGRAPHIES AND WITH DIFFERENT APPROACHES TO LEAD IN ELIMINATING ANTI-BLACK RACISM IN ORDER TO BUILD A MORE EQUITABLE FUTURE, WITH FAIRER, HEALTHIER AND MORE INCLUSIVE SOCIETIES AND TO LESSEN CONFLICT BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT RACES.
