Activities - how the charity spends its money
We run a mentorship programme and provide training, networking and community events to support care-experienced people seeking to become lawyers. Care-experienced means having been in foster care (including kinship care) or a residential care placement provided by a local authority or having been adopted.

Charitable objects
FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF CARE EXPERIENCED PEOPLE AND PRIMARILY, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, YOUNG PEOPLE IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING MENTORING PROGRAMMES, ACCESS TO NETWORKING, PEER SUPPORT, TRAINING AND WORK OPPORTUNITIES, AND GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT CAREERS IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION, TO ENABLE THEM TO PREPARE FOR ENTRY TO THE LEGAL PROFESSION ON LEAVING ANY EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT. FOR THE PURPOSES THIS CLAUSE, CARE EXPERIENCED PEOPLE MEANS PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN IN FOSTER CARE (INCLUDING KINSHIP CARE) OR A RESIDENTIAL CARE PLACEMENT PROVIDED BY THEIR LOCAL AUTHORITY DURING THEIR CHILDHOOD, OR WHO HAVE BEEN ADOPTED AS CHILDREN.
