Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE SOUTH WEST OF ENGLAND, ARE: 1) TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE MENTAL HEALTH OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVISING AND DELIVERING PROGRAMMES IN EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS WHICH PROVIDE ESSENTIAL TOOLS, RESOURCES, THERAPY AND COUNSELLING DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF EMOTIONAL RESILIENCE, SELF-ESTEEM, CONFIDENCE, SOCIAL INTEGRATION AND PROMOTE POSITIVE WELL-BEING. 2) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL MODEL OF LEARNING BY: A) PROVIDING TRAINING AND TEACHING SKILLS FOR EDUCATORS AND ALL STAFF WORKING WITHIN EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO), POSITIVE CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND THE CREATION OF SUPPORTIVE, RESPECTFUL AND ENGAGING LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS WHERE EVERYONE FEELS VALUED, HEARD AND MOTIVATED. B) PROVIDING TRAINING AND TEACHING SKILLS IN SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING FOR CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE, THEIR PARENTS AND CARERS. C) CONDUCTING AND SUPPORTING RESEARCH INTO THE BENEFITS OF SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING WITHIN EDUCATION, THE USEFUL RESULTS OF WHICH WILL BE PUBLISHED.
