THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF WORKING ANIMALS PARTICULARLY DONKEYS AND MULES IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION BY REASON OF SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USAGE, AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN MATTERS OF ANIMAL WELFARE BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS UNDERTAKING THIS WORK IN THE RISHIKESH AREA OF INDIA.
