THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: - TO RELIEVE POVERTY IN WELLINGBOROUGH AND SURROUNDING AREA (NORTH NORTHAMPTONSHIRE) BY PROVIDING - FOOD, CLOTHING, SHELTER AND FINANCIAL ADVICE TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED, PARTICULARLY THOSE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS, UNEMPLOYMENT OR LOW INCOME. - REFERRALS TO INSTITUTIONS THAT OFFER ACCESS TO COUNSELLING SERVICES, COMMUNITY HEALTH PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES THAT SUPPORT EMOTIONAL RESILIENCE AND SOCIAL INCLUSION. - PEER SUPPORT AND OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT BUILD PEOPLE’S CONFIDENCE AND ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE MORE EFFECTIVELY WITH THE WIDER COMMUNITY THROUGH WORKSHOPS, ADVOCACY AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMMES.
