THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE EVERYDAY ARTS AND CRAFTS AND CULTURAL ITEMS OF SOUTH ASIA AND ITS NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES BY: (1) ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING A COLLECTION OF SUCH ARTS AND CRAFTS AND RELATED PICTURES FOR PUBLIC DISPLAY. (2) PROVIDING GRANTS TO SUPPORT RESEARCH AND ACADEMIC STUDY OF EVERYDAY ARTS, CRAFTS AND CULTURAL ITEMS OF SOUTH ASIA AND ITS NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES.
