THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN PALAEONTOLOGY BY: (A) BY PUBLISHING MONOGRAPHS DESCRIBING AND ILLUSTRATING FOSSILS FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM AND IRELAND, (B) BY GIVING PUBLIC LECTURES, (C) TO ENCOURAGE PALAEONTOLOGICAL RESEARCH AND EXTEND THE KNOWLEDGE OF PALAEONTOLOGY THROUGH AWARDING GRANTS, BURSARIES, PRIZES AND MEDALS, AND (D) BY SUCH OTHER MEANS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES IN THEIR DISCRETION MAY DETERMINE.
