Charitable objects
TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND ADULTS WITH ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER (ADHD), AND THEIR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES, IN THE UNITED KINGDOM BY: A. ADVANCING EDUCATION IN ADHD, NEURODEVELOPMENT, AND SUICIDE PREVENTION BY DEVELOPING AND DELIVERING EVIDENCE-INFORMED TRAINING AND RESOURCES, SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS FOR FRONTLINE PROFESSIONALS (INCLUDING TEACHERS, NHS STAFF, POLICE, SOCIAL WORKERS, YOUTH WORKERS AND SPORTS COACHES), FAMILIES AND THE PUBLIC, INCLUDING PROMOTING EARLY IDENTIFICATION AND ACCESS TO APPROPRIATE ADHD SCREENING AND ASSESSMENT PATHWAYS. B. RELIEVING THE NEEDS AND DISTRESS OF PEOPLE AFFECTED BY ADHD AND THEIR FAMILIES BY PROVIDING ADVICE, SIGNPOSTING, PEER MENTORING, AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT, AND BY FACILITATING ACCESS TO APPROPRIATE SERVICES. C. PREVENTING SUICIDE AND SELF-HARM AMONG PEOPLE WITH ADHD BY IMPROVING CRISIS RECOGNITION, RAPID RESPONSE, AND SUPPORT; AND REDUCING HARMS LINKED TO SUBSTANCE MISUSE, SCHOOL EXCLUSION AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION. D. PROMOTING RESEARCH INTO ADHD AND SUICIDE RISK, THEIR CAUSES, PREVENTION AND EFFECTIVE INTERVENTIONS, AND TO PUBLISH AND DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS FOR PUBLIC BENEFIT. E. PROVIDING SPORT AND ACTIVITY-BASED PROGRAMMES AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 12–25 WHO ARE AFFECTED BY ADHD AND MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION AUTHORISES THE APPLICATION OF PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
