TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE HISTORY OF THE YORK AREA BY RECORDING, PRESERVING AND DISSEMINATING THE HISTORICAL MEMORIES OF PEOPLE LIVING IN THE AREA, AND BY MAINTAINING AN ARCHIVE OF ORAL AND PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIAL FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.
