Activities - how the charity spends its money
The charity sponsors and oversees promising young scientists undertaking innovative patterns of basic research into the pathogenesis and treatment of the rheumatic diseases. The charity also encourages the education of health care professionals in rheumatology by providing funding for courses and conferences. We have also sponsored young doctors from Kenya to train in rheumatology.

THE ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH BY: FUNDING AND SUPPORTING RESEARCH INTO THE CAUSATION AND TREATMENT OF RHEUMATIC DISEASES, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY AT LIVERPOOL UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS, AND SUPPORTING PUBLICATION OF RESEARCH FINDINGS WHERE APPROPRIATE. FUNDING EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN RHEUMATOLOGY OF CLINICAL AND LABORATORY STAFF, WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING QUALITY OF CARE FOR PATIENTS WITH ARTHRITIS AND OTHER AUTO-IMMUNE DISEASES.
