1 TO OPERATE TRANSPORT SERVICES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY. 2 TO ASSIST THE WORK OF ORGANISATIONS AND BODIES ENGAGED IN THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, SICKNESS AND THE DISABILITIES OF AGE, THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITHIN THE MEANING OF SECTION 1 OF THE RECREATIONAL CHARITIES ACT 1958 AND ANY OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSE IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. 3 WHEN NECESSARY TO RELIEVE POVERTY, SICKNESS AND THE DISABILITIES OF AGE BY (I) ESTABLISHING, MAINTAINING AND DEVELOPING A PERSONAL TRANSPORT SERVICE, ACCESSIBLE ONLY TO SUCH NEEDY INDIVIDUALS USING THE MOST EFFECTIVE MEANS AVAILABLE FOR SUCH JOURNEYS AS CANNOT CONVENIENTLY BE UNDERTAKEN BY OTHER PUBLICLY AVAILABLE MEANS, (II) ASSOCIATING WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND OTHER VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS IN THE AREA SERVIED BY THE YORK HEALTH AUTHORITY IN THE COUNTY OF NORTH YORKSHIRE AND HUMBERSIDE OR SUCH OTHER AREA AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE DECIDED AND IN A COMMON EFFORT TO PROVIDE SUCH FACILITIES IN ALL PARTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
