TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC BY PROMOTING THE STUDY OF LOCAL HISTORY OF THE TOWN OF HEDON AND ITS IMMEDIATE SURROUNDING AREA, IN ALL ITS ASPECTS, IN PARTICULAR BY ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING A LOCAL MUSEUM.
