TO CONDUCT AND TO PROMOTE STUDIES AND RESEARCH INTO HOMELESSNESS IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK, SUCH RESEARCH TO CONCENTRATE ON THE REASONS FOR HOMELESSNESS IN THE BOROUGH AND THE DIFFICULTIES OF THE UNEMPLOYED AND THOSE ON LOWER INCOMES IN FINDING ACCOMMODATION; TO DISSEMINATE THE RESULTS THEREOF; AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC PARTICULARLY THOSE CNNECTED WITH THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK IN RELATION THERETO. 2. TO RELIEVE NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS OF PEOPLE IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK, IN PARTICULAR PEOPLE IN HOUSING NEED BY PROVISION OF A COUNSELLING AND ADVICE SERVICE IN SUCH MATTERS AS LEGAL ADVICE, HOUSING ADVICE AND DEBT COUNSELLING.
