Charitable objects
(I) TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN HISTORY BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO YOUNG HISTORIANS UNDER THE AGE OF 30 AND IN PARTICULAR TO YOUNG HISTORIANS AT CHRIST'S COLLEGE IN THE UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE FOR THE PURPOSES OF RESEARCH AND THE WRITING OF HISTORY AND TO PUBLISH THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH. (II) TO MAKE GRANTS TO THE NATIONAL ARTS COLLECTION FUNDS TO THE FITZWILLIAM MUSEUM AND TO THE LEICESTER MUSEUM (THE GRANTS TO THE FITZWILLIAM MUSEUM BEING USED FOR THE PURCHASE FO ENGLISH AND EUROPEAN CERAMICS OF THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY). (III) TO DEVOTE ONE-TENTH OF THE INCOME FROM THE CHARITY TO CHARITIES OF THE TRUSTEES' CHOICE WITH SPECIAL REGARD TO THE YOUNG DISABLED, THE NEEDS OF THE AGED IN CAMBRIDGE LEICESTER ANDWESTHORPE AND TO THE PRESERVATION OF BUILDINGS AND HISTORIC LANDSCAPES.
